Welcome to Encysive.com. Encysive Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and commercialization of novel, synthetic, small molecule compounds to address unmet medical needs.

Encysive has undergone a cultural evolutionfrom a research and development boutique to a thriving commercial entity. We have successfully developed one FDA-approved product, Argatroban, licensed to GlaxoSmithKline, and have a rich product pipeline. Our lead drug candidate, THELIN® (sitaxentan sodium) was approved in August 2006 by the European Union. During the period beginning with the fourth quarter of 2006 and continuing through February 2008, we made THELIN® commercially available through direct marketing in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom (the "U.K."). In addition, THELIN® is commercially available through third parties in Greece and Spain. Additionally, THELIN® has been approved in Australia and Canada and is going through the reimbursement process in both countries.
